Awesome Twitching Topwater lures with Rattle Noise
The lures did move nicely in the water, they also attract pickerel as well as bass and other fish. I have purchased more expensive lures that had the rattle ball become stuck in one end of the lure. The ball in these lures moves easily inside and do not become stuck even in cold water fishing (I thought the ball inside might expand). Nice colorful lures that move well. Thank you
I didn't catch a fish on the first cast - had to wait for the second, fourth and fifth tries
Missed on the first cast. Darn! Maybe this lure is no — oops, caught a bass on the second cast. Another miss on the third cast. So maybe this lure isn’t all that good. I mean, it should –wham–! Caught another one, on the fourth cast. Hah! The fish in my pond must not be used to –kaPOW–!
I’m not that good a fisherman. Believe me. So three catches in 5 tries got my attention! I’ve gone out a couple times since, including on a blustery cloudy day as a front was plowing through — days usually better spent at home reorganizing my tackle box. Yet I caught fish on these topwaters each time out.
Of note is the quality of manufacture. These are good, solid lures that will be around a while. And good LORDY how far they cast! You will have to pay attention not to overshoot into the weeds on the far bank. Even casting into the wind, you will get it “out there”.
Good wobble on retrieve. Good for a steady retrieve, or a “pause and pump” approach. Although it is slightly heavier than water, it does not sink like a rock. Even with steady cranking, it will not broach; and with slow retrieves, it did not get caught on or bring up debris from the bottom.
Guess you can tell I love these lures. Highly recommended for those areas where a treble is appropriate.
